fair enough. aluminum is way easier to machine and it won't rust. just curious...what software package did you use to do the analysis?

i'd be worried about fatigue life on the aluminum axle. i'd use a 4000series steel, and hollow it out to save weight.
all those step in the shaft are stress concentrations. but you do have the right idea with the steps, you need those to keep proper spacing

these jumps are pretty good for the first year of operation. small-medium jumps. costs $10 to ride, or you can buy a season pass. and they have a short 4X track which is really fun
